Need a brunch place with music to vibe out to? Well you’ve found the DC’s hidden gem, HalfSmoke. Service is friendly, welcoming , honest, and informative. Annyce gave us recommendations, that fit well with our preferences, giving us an awesome experience. We even had an above and beyond chef Antonio, who ensured our temp preferences were spot on! It’s close to Washington Hilton Hotel, making it an easy choice. We’ll definitely be back!

We came out the day before Mother’s Day 2025. Thankfully, the graduation crowd was gone and we were seated within five minutes. Our server was lovely and helped us decide what to get as an appetizer and entree! I got the flight and let me say it was DELICIOUS!! My favorite was Girls Trip but each of them were on point! I loved the homemade hummus and the ‘strips’ that come with it. All of the food was good and the creative halfsmokes on the menu should leave you finding one to devour!! If you plan to come at the height of the brunch rush, try getting a resy or pack your patience. Paid parking is convenient next door.

Very tasty food however the service not the same. It was more just needing to work on organizing themselves and remembering what people ask for and bringing it without having to ask 3 more times. People were friendly let me not leave that out. We had a reservation but it was not busy when we were there. The restaurant itself is very cute with the setup and quotes. The dishes have some cute names as well. Mimosas are bottomless for 90 minutes, so drink up. Variety of flavors to choose from as well. Definitely recommend it, and it is also only a short walk from Howard University campus. Give them a try.
